I miss Maultaschen so much! ๐ฐ
Maultaschen are a type of stuffed pasta that originated in the region around Stuttgart (Swabia) in Germany. They are similar to ravioli or pierogi, but are typically larger and can be filled with a variety of ingredients, such as minced meat, spinach, and herbs.
If you never heard of Maultaschen in the US, it might be because they are not as commonly found in supermarkets compared to other types of pasta. This is probably due to the fact that they are not nearly as well known in this country as they are in Germany.
However, it is possible to find Maultaschen at specialty stores or online. And of course I could also try making my own Maultaschen at home, using a pasta maker. But I just hadn’t found the time for it yet. Oh boy, I miss them so much!
